Nige BTW could you post latency reading from 2012 core and your new Asus MB - it is supposed to be superb on latency and I am curious how they look in M version.

Interesting is it better on latency than the intel? Maybe that explains how it still sounds better even when both zuma's matched with the exception of memory speed and mobo being different. (Different makes of ram also)

I would have thought so too Seb but after several hours trying everything I went back and read the small print on the driver page:

NOTE: The following devices do not have driver or software support for Windows Server 2012*:
- Intel® 82567LF Gigabit Network Connection
- Intel® 82567V Gigabit Network Connection
- Intel® 82577LC Gigabit Network Connection
- Intel® 82579V Gigabit Network Connection

Turns out the Zuma Intel board has one of these network adaptors!!

Intel® 82579V Gigabit Network Connection i think same as my desktop computer which i do all my software testing before going to zuma replica
unsuccessful so far in installing the network adapter driver

started running latmon test have to say its not terrible but def nothing exciting

You dont have to run it for long. Few minutes is enough.

There is one more app which is worth to test with. Have to find the name of it.

What are the values you are getting from latmon?

i left it running i didn't check on it since but at 2 min it was running around 50 and max 69 on the first two results i cant remember the rest

WinTimerTester is the name :) - the optimal result should be around 1.4mhz in this one.

Had a good listen tonight.I don't know if everything always sounds better at night as it is a better time to listen but cad script with wtg stick on zuma and using TC on the streaming laptop and everything sounds really rich and harmonic. The only change I haven't done yet is to try underclocking the ram on the zuma.It is now running underclocked at 1.6mhz.

The streamer is using 1-2% cpu and seems very under utilized.

If I can get the power supply thing working on the zuma at some point later in the year when I get more time I think that will give me another move. Core server will be another definite if I can get it functioning.

Great to be able to just sit back and enjoy the music after a day when I had a small engine fire in the car which didn't help start the day to well.
