Thanks BOD but I'm keen to manual belt drive!

ps was listening to your FLAC of MOP last night, much nicer than my cd!
Brass Bands are all very well in their place -
outdoors and several miles away....

I'm getting a strange sense of deja vu. I seem to recall a 12 or 13 year-old Jaybee buying CDs before he possessed a CD player...

Truly crankable alright. If I could get a Nak Dragon head unit for my car I`d be all over it. Metal on tape with no dolby at stupid levels is a great way to enjoy tunes :-)

I had seen that but am a little wary of something that age, when I can get an rpm5 and phonostage for not a whole lot more

RPM5 looks nice alright. €700+ new though.

I missed one with a 2m red and a project phono box II se on wigwam for £230....

by about five minutes!

Probably just as well as apparently Pro-Ject tt's have a motor issue especially with the RPM5 due in particular to the heavy weight of the platter. I read about it earlier but cannot remember where! Something to do with hum,vibration and probably wow issues? Just be extra careful.....
