How do you pick this stuff Adrian? You're seldom happy LOL! Do you listen to samples before you commit yourself or what? Anyhow you seem happy enough with Robag. Enjoy!

I think this batch was bought with his Christmas vouchers Dermot. After the HMV thing I'll bet that he ran into Tower gave the guy the vouchers and said "Gime me ambient for those quickly!" LOL!!

Brilliant :) BTW Fergus have you listened to the gorgeous new Harold Budd music for quartets? It's called Bandits of Stature. Brilliant title as he composed all the music himself, probably borrowing from his own extensive catalogue though I haven't recognised anything I've heard by him before. But, I will say one thing, it's got the unmistakeable stamp of the master! Listen to one example below and see what you think :)

Dermot..

Well as Fergus mentioned... the Tower vouchers. I tend to take a chance sometimes... and whilst I have bought a few duds... I also got a few nice surprises.

Unfortunately Tower only allow one voucher per transaction... which I thought was silly, as I just held up the queue a bit longer as I had to carry out two transactions...

Ah well, perhaps in the next life... I will come back as a box ticking bureaucrat... making everybody's life miserable in the process................ Repent!!

You're so right about the vouchers! So you can imagine my absolute consternation when I went up to pay for the John Fahey box set (€129.99) using one voucher and two cards. "Only one can be used" mumbles the Fidgety Man. So I hand over card and one voucher. "I said only ONE can be used!" "You mean I can only use either the voucher or the card??" "Yeeeah, something like that" "But how can that be?" I splutter. "That's the RULES!" And I really needed that box set having waited nearly two years for it! So I said, being the absolute gentleman that I am and trying my best not to pull the ring from his nose, ok. Seeing the resigned look on my face (if he only knew!) he offered a little sympathy: "I tried the same my self yesterday and got nowhere :)" I looked at him and said nothing. Later that evening I sent an email to Paula from the ordering dept explaining my case to her and to sort of thank her for getting the box in etc etc. She told me he was totally in the wrong and I should have been allowed to use both voucher and card. So every time I see him behind the counter I feel like walking back out but I don't. Why do I get eejits like him. Why??? Mind if I join you in the next life Adrian ;)
