Did anyone here saw the Tim Burton film?

Well, the music is far better than what was on offer there.
In this live Munich recording, with real opera singers and a fine symphony orchestra, Sweeney Todd becomes an important and innovative score.
( I still have nightmares of Johnny Depp singing the title role).
I endured a few minutes of it and then gave up, my daughter loves it, I DON'T!

Ha, ha. The film was indeed dreadful, and the singing even worse.
But the musical is not that bad. Tim Burton made a gory, gothic thing, but that was not Sondheim´s idea. Sweeney Todd is Grand Guignol, it´s a farce, but Burton made something sick and ugly out of it.

I believe this is the last volume of the Vivaldi complete bassoon concertos.
Sergio Azzolini takes bassoon playing to a different level, quite simply, incomparable.

Yes Pepe, he makes bassoon playing sound exciting!
