I'm looking forward to it. I would love to attend a Claudio Abbado Mahler concert, preferably in Lucerne, with him conducting the LFO, now there's a thought.

Is Claudio Abbado back to full health now? I think a lot of Mahlerites are waiting for him to do the M9 with the LFO.....or has it been done already?

I'm afraid not. http://blog.taragana.com/index.php/arch ... r-absence/
I don't think that he has recorded the Ninth with the LFO, he has a DVD with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra but not with the LFO. I know that he has recorded the Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth & Seventh with the LFO. Four more to go so.
