^^ I think your link has broken, good sir...

I woke up to Radio 3 at 7am, with Leonhardt playing a Bach Harpsichord Concerto.. BWV.1056... a wonderful way to start the day!!

wonderful version of this set, a real balls and all interpretation, lots of instruments in "one per part" (guitar, viol, organ, violone, theorbo, bass, harpsichord) lend an uncharacteristically lush soundscape for historical instruments, which I think serves these pieces well.

Not as reflective in tone as some versions (not to say that the slower movements are rushed, they are beautifully rendered), but with this level of vigour, and visceral playing its definitely a morning piece!

That sounds very interesting Johnny!

Simply gorgeous music, beautifully played by the Quatuor Mosaiques.

I enjoyed it but I cannot help but compare it unfavourably with the Kubelik/CPO recording, I will listen to it again later today.

I agree actually; I owned it and sold it... Ma Vlast is one of thse pieces of music, where it seems to help if both the conductor & Orchestra are Czech... ;-)
