I hope you enjoyed it, I think it's a great version! Though you won't have had the full SACD experience waiting for the DART!

Tonight I've been listening to a beautiful harpsichord recital devoted to selections from Francois Couperin's Third and Fourth Books of Pieces de clavecin (on the ever-excellent Alpha label). This is elegant, refined and contemplative music that is given a particularly rewarding reading from Frederick Haas which derives much of its impact on the listener from a sense of spareness, understatedness, intimacy and quiet dedication to Couperin's subtle and thoughtful music. Haas's recording of excerpts from the First and Second Books share the same virtues and also come highly recommended.
