Samsung dock with valve amp

I was leafing through Totally Dublin while waiting for my burrito at lunch, and spotted an ad for this:

Interesting. Is this audiophile progress or simply hipster chic? I'm guessing the latter.

tis better than iluv tat all the same....

I still use the fatman itube in the living room...!!
Brass Bands are all very well in their place -
outdoors and several miles away....

It does look a bit "lifestyle" alright but with decent quality files I'm sure it would sound good.
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

Saw one in Harvey Normans, Naas. Very nice looking bit of kit, but I couldn't get it to work so no idea of sound.
