Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?

To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:

a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.

Free Items TT and CD

Post by Naimaste »

Hi
I got this TT from a member here. It needed some service attention which I havent been able to give it so I'll pass it on.

Dual 505 TT with Rata cartridge & stylus. Belt driven. Its semi automatic with pitch control (using your own light). Tracking weight 0 to 3 gr and anti skate mechanism. Needs phono plugs. AFAIR it works sonically and mechanically.
Im in Dublin 12 and you are welcome to come over to check it out. Photo available if needed too.

Phillips CD 473. This may be useful for the transport, if no one wants it it is on the way to recycling. Also has a remote which I am currently trying to locate. This is very old (80's)and works but the door mechanism (open/close ) is a bit haphazard.

Thanks,
John

I'll take the TT, I could do with an unwind project! If I get nowhere with it in the next few months I'll offer it up again.

In fairness.... if i can't find the time to collect the TT I'll hardly find the time to rebuild it!

I'm going to have to pass on this one... anyone else who wants a crack at this let Naimaste know. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
