I totally agree with this, and I'd also be reasonably confident that your 40k speakers will be worth more in 5 years than your 40k car.

Hi Guys,

We would like to express our appreciation to all the members who attended the recent
'An evening with Avantgarde Acoustic and TirNaHiFi at The Listening Suite'.
It is was a pleasure to meet you all and from the very positive comments posted on the forum,
both evenings proved to be a momentous experience for all.

The music played over the two evenings was from a collection of the following tracks:

'Autumn in New York' performed by Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Ella & Louis Again

'Send Us a Quite Night' performed by June Tabor from the album 'Apples'

'Opportunity' performed by Joan Armatrading from the Album 'Show some emotion'

'Threedledum' performed by Bruce Dunlap and Dan Kolton

'Another one bites the dust' performed by Queen from the Album 'Greatest Hits I'

'Back in Black' performed by AC/DC from the album 'Back in Black'

'Molly on the Shore' performed by the Dallas Wind Symphony from the album 'Lincolnshire Posy'

The system you listened too comprised of the following:

Avantgarde Acoustic Duo Omega Spherical Horn Speaker System

Avantgarde Acoustic Model 3 Integrated Solid State Amplifier

Einstein CD Player with valve output stage

Imac, Itunes with Airport Express

It was a pleasure for Jonathan and myself to demonstrate and discuss the system but also to engage
in some interesting conversation and to see all the smiling faces at the end of each evening
following the experience of discussing and listening to a pair of Avantgarde Acoustic horn speakers.

Just to let everyone know that Avantgarde Acoustic have a revised price list from the 1st July 2012.

The Duo Omega system that everyone listened to here in The Listening Suite is valued at
€21,600 including 23% VAT.

Thank you all once again and I think after Ivors suggestion we should have a classical evening,

Watch this space :)

So there's still time to buy today at the lower price?! ;)

Thanks for the evening, guys. Can't wait to get back again!

I’ve visions of the restaurant scene from “The Blues Brothers” where John Belushi (Jake) turns to the people at the next table.

Jake: How much for the little girl? How much for the women?
Father: What?
Jake: Your women. I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters... sell them to me. Sell me your children!

Although you were only round the corner, I'm sure she wouldn't have minded if you'd popped out for an hour...

Sudden interest! I adored the Avantgarde Unos when I heard them in Cloney Audio (over ten years ago?) in fact I nearly got my hands on a 2nd hand pair, so I was very interested in this, but not at the price of listening to non-classical!
