#1 In 1978 were these guys bound for glory?cybot wrote:Just after seeing these. I'll say one thing J, they're good 'uns! A tiny prompt please :-))
#2 In 1979 he was the man!
#3 In 1973 the guitarist in this band wouldn't have looked out of place in Kiss.
Re: Guess tthe LP
Thanks for the clues J. The third one sounds like an Alex Harvey album. Let me go check....JAW wrote:#1 In 1978 were these guys bound for glory?cybot wrote:Just after seeing these. I'll say one thing J, they're good 'uns! A tiny prompt please :-))

Is it, could it be??? I've never actually seen this album cover but I think this is one is the answer.
Terrific clue anyway :-)) Is the guy with the face mask Clem Clempson? He's the guitarist, too isn't he? [color]

Yep! Well done! And here's a picture of Zal Cleminson in his "Going out for a quiet night" gear.
Re: Guess tthe LP
Oh that's his name, I remember now! I recall hearing an Alex Harvey album and being mightly impressed by Zal's guitar playing... Can't recall the album though. Oh, and thanks for the kind words...
Re: Guess tthe LP
Right, another couple of clues.......
#1 Irish group. One of the tracks was described as "the happiest, cheeriest, best upbeat song about Hitler ever written."
#2 On this album he discovered that girls are not the same as boys

Thanks for the clues John. Number one looks like a Pogues album cover (but I don't think it is!) and the second clue could be a Bryan Ferry Lp...Maybe,just maybe the first one is a Boomtown Rats Lp....let me go check.
