Wow what a pair of speakers. It is the best sound I have ever heard. A big thanks to David and Jonathon for hosting this.
It is a really relaxed space. I would wish they every success. I think anybody considering a system at that level really needs to hear them.
They sound fantastic in my view with all types of music that was played. Ivor was there so it was diverse. Shelby was rolled out and it did seem she was lying there on the floor waiting for applause or maybe something else!
I posted the above CDs while it was fresh in my mind but now I want to take a minute to thank David and Jonathon for hosting two great evenings of music and hifi.
Those speakers are just stunning and, lotto permitting, would replace my beloved Quads tomorrow. The detail, the midrange, the bass and the complete lack of treble harshness and their whoreish good looks are everything I want in my listening room.
Most of all it was great to have an evening where we didn't just focus on the hardware but also on the music and production. A very enjoyable evening all 'round and I look forward to having one again... perhaps a classical only night? I'd be there!
Prices weren't discussed on Tuesday, at least not when I was there. Left the brochure behind too, so dunno if prices were in that. Somewhat curious myself!
