But over the last couple of evenings it's obviously not. Very nice. Very good.

Re: Jazz - What's your bag, man?
First bought the double LP in 1977 and played the hell out of it on my Fidelity player.
This version is a digital 24 bit/96 kHz download from Gubemusic - wonderful quality.
Still my favourite improvised piece by Jarrett.

Re: Jazz - What's your bag, man?
I love it. I used to work in a Jazz record shop in the old Dandeloin Green in the late seventies, (it's now the Stephen's Green Shopping Centre), a gentleman, by the name of Mick Fagan owned the shop, he introduced me to Noel Cloney (Mick had a fantastic HiFi set-up too), and that 2 LP set was one of the best sellers for quite some time. Perhaps you bought the album set there?markof wrote:

I think that it portrays Jarrett at his most self indulgent, inventive and melodic best, it's GREAT.

The only record shop I remember buying from in Dandelion Green was a pre-megastore Virgin shop - great place for alternative rock bands such as Can, Amon Dull etc.Seán wrote:I love it. I think I bought the Koln album from a Golden Disk shop on the corner of Liffey Street and Henry Street which was also exceptional for it's time.
