Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?

To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:

a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.

g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

SOLD: Pio DV-868 Dvd/DVD-A/SACD and Pio AX5i Receiver

Post by Kinch »

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this stuff is suitable for this elevated forum but I'm just about about to buy some speakers from here so I'm logged in and my wife will demand a sacrificial sale. Thus was it ever.... I'll put them on here and if there's no interest then I'll move on to adverts.ie :-)

Would prefer to sell as a pair but no probs to sell separately. They're in good order, I still use the receiver in my office via usb pretty much daily. Boxes may be in the attic, would have to check as I'm in work and this is a spontaneous advert.

I suppose the most interesting thing about this pairing is that that they can be connected by ilink (firewire) for jitter-free transfer and the fact that that the player is universal. Come to think of it, I have some DVD-As and SACDs that will throw in as part of the deal if it reaches close to asking

I paid about €1,800 for the pair of them but I don't know how to value them now - they're old but they're good.

Asking Price €100 ono **SOLD **

Asking Price: €200 ono **SOLD **

Thanks

That's really nice gear. I nearly bought it myself just because it was such a bargain price!
