I am in the market for a CD burner and the Pioneer PDR-609 comes highly recommended, I am wondering if anybody here has one for sale, if not, perhaps you might have a different machine for sale that is just as good? Failing that, is there a machine that you would care to recommended?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Wanted - Pioneer PDR-609 CD Burner or equivalent
They come up now and again on adverts.
Big disadvantage is that you need special blank CDs.
Could I suggest an alternate route? The zoom H1 digital recorder will record from a line in at wav or 24/96 (or lower). They are €89 in Bermingham cameras (and the other camera shops).
The camera lads use them to record sound during interviews etc etc. They record onto a SD card, enough for hours etc. You can bring the files into free software like audacity and set up tracks etc and burn back to CDs if you want or keep them as hi-res also.
I have the slightly bigger brother to the H1 (H2, now discontinued) and the recorded sound is a little better on that, I think it has more advanced input circuitry. If you've only a once-off job, feel free to borrow mine.

Hi Sean, I have a PDR609, although it's not for sale as I use it occasionally. However, if you want to take it to try it for a while to see if you like what it does you're welcome.

Thanks Fran,
I want a good quality machine that I can run from a lineout from my TT, CD or Tuner, I am looking for convenience too as I'm getting lazy, so thanks for your suggestion but I will carry on with my quest for a CD Recorder for now at least.
