No, I'm not sure about those pieces being played by larger forces, either... still, it can't be as bad as Karajan's Albinoni... ;-)

Kuhlau was apparently German and I have seen him referred to as "the Beethoven of the flute" whatever that means. I know nothing of him Jared so I look forward to hearing that one.

In relation to your own recent purchase what with the wonderful music of Obrecht and the given performances of the Tallis Scholars it has to be a winner!!!

although to be fair I looked him up, and realising that he'd been dead for over 500 years, I just took it as read that the two of you would have found some spiritual synchronicity.. ;-))
