On a very swift visit to town today I picked up this 10 cd set for €10.99 in Spindizzy.

Nice one Ivor :-) A hell of a bargain that! Enjoy....BTW have you heard Dino Saluzzi, the man I referred to above...Finally, a few weeks I came across a tribute to Astor in Tower on vinyl by Al De Meola. Anyway it's really Johnny, aka Jaw, you should be talking to, not me ;-)

2 from Audio Fidelity of which I'm a platinum member, so I get everything they release a week or 2 before at 25% discount with my own number on them.

musical quality can be hit and miss but sound quality there are top notch.

Already in the player and I feel truly blessed to have stumbled on this absolute cracker of a compilation.
I know there are Penn & Oldham fans on our forum, don’t hesitate put a copy on order.

Several of the versions here I had never come across before; Arthur Alexander with the Four Tops mega hit “Cry like a Baby” Dionne Warwick gets her teeth into “I’m Your Puppet” which was a huge success for James and Bobby Purify.
James Carr, Tommy Roe, Etta James, Charlie Rich, The Box Tops, Irma Thomas, Tony Joe White, Solomon Burke, Sandy Posey…24 tracks and a very well put together 28 page booklet stuffed with information.
If you never came across The Wallace Brothers before then “I Need Someone” will convince you to start looking further.
There’s a chance I’ll skip work tomorrow!

Also arrived but can't get near the CD player as yet...

Wowie!?!?!?!? Be careful that Jimi doesn't burn up the carpet/floorboards ;-))) Haven't heard the stuck on bonus disc yet, but I'm getting there. What a night I had last night! First time I listened solely to the pod rather than the hi fi!! Jimi just amazed me all over again. To think it's been lying in the vaults for the past 43 years!?!?!? Can't wait for the official release of the fabled Albert Hall gig, their last performance in England as the original Experience....it's been available in poor sound for years. So here's hoping....
