through sheer over exposure, I have been putting this moment off for some considerable time, but I have recently flogged my Anne-Sophie Mutter 'Four Seasons' on ebay in favour of two high quality HIP performances which are more to my taste.... believe it or not, these recordings cost me 10p and 72p (plus postage) respectively!

both will be listened through a couple of times this weekend...

^^ good to have you back with us, Fergus... did you enjoy the Rugby? (although I'm quite confident you'd have been cheering on the Argies.. ;-) )

yes, it has already had one play through... greatly preferred to Mutter, although I realise it's down to personal taste...

Glad you enjoyed it on first listen Jared.

Yep, great Rugby so far....although all of the underdogs did not win the did themselves great credit. The Argie No. 10 played here in Leinster for a number of years and he trained to be a surgeon here too so he would be a big favourite no matter who he was playing!

Somehow, I'm hoping that Fergus might find a way to forgive my lavish behaviour:

On the contrary, my friend....I applaud your lavish behaviour; there is some very fine music and music making there! I am sure that you will enjoy every minute of it!!

to be quite honest, this whole Renaissance malarky is becoming quite addictive... and I'm really loving the Tallis Scholars material I'm hearing..
