^^ I have been toying with getting a Martinu set Fergus, but have been wondering whether it might be too modern for me... how tonal is his music, and whose works would you compare it to?

An inspired choice, young man, enjoy. If you are not familiar with these works you might want to start with his Fourth Symphony. By the way the Neumann set is well worth having too.fergus wrote:

I have not listened yet Jared but I too have the same fears in relation to its modernity. I have Neumann performing Nos. 5 & 6 which I kind of like.
