Haha! No, it's not for me.
Somebody in work has just asked what TT they should buy merely to play their old vinyl collection that won't be added to. Ideally they'd want to spend about €200 all in, arm, cartridge, the works.
Any thoughts? Can this even be done for that money?

Ah, the old "friend of mine"...... don't worry, your secret is safe with us (snigger snigger)
Some of the basic project decks? I think they even have a built in phono stage. Or else you're looking at 2ndhand.

Re: Entry level TT advice please
Actually, if I could get a good price for it, I'd sell that Wadia in a heartbeat. That said, my definition of "good price" might not tally with the views of others. :)DaveF wrote: lol, for a min there I thought your comment about your Wadia on fb was serious. ;-)
Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I'll pass them on.

The Project Genie is a no brainer. Nice styling and a decent Ortofon cart as well for €219

Re: Entry level TY advice please
It occurred to me since that Cloney stock the Pro-Ject Essential @ €179. A basic but perfectly good TT. Some models can have USB or a built in phono stage too.
