Isn't great to be among Yes men :-) You're right Fergus but it took me a long time to finally 'get it' between leaving the original Lp back exactly five minutes after I bought it! (due to a negative review in the shop next door to the record shop) and then an earnest student tried to convince me nearly twenty years later but I was having none of it! Finally I picked up a pristine copy in the local junk shop for pittance which didn't matter as I only wanted it for the sleeve! When I finally got around to giving it a proper spin I sat aghast, it was friggin' brilliant!! Still indulgent and terribly important but what wonderful harmonies and musicianship!! That was a great feeling, I tell you :-)fergus wrote:I still think that is a great album!cybot wrote:

Listening to these earlier today and thoroughly enjoying the live interplay but especially Garcia's wonderful axe work ....

I would agree with you there Johnny.JAW wrote:Enjoyed it a lot, Fergus. I hadn't heard Time and a Word in years and I think that the classic Yes line up was Jon Anderson/Chris Squire/Steve Howe/Bill Bruford and Rick Wakeman, but this has a lot energy to it. Peter Banks and Tony Kaye are a lot better than I remembered. Good stuff from one of my favourite periods of music.fergus wrote:How did you get on with that one johnny....I hope that you enjoyed it?JAW wrote:

Terrific choice there Fran and fabulous bass too... Have you ever seen the short film it's based on? I know I have it somewhere in the house. AFAIR I think it came with a special edition of the CD....Fran wrote:

Nope, never saw the movie - must look out for it. I like them, have nearly all the stuff on vinyl. Would love to see them play......
