Re: What are you listening to?
I agree Fergus... it really is very elegant and light of touch, isn't it? I must say I like both it and the Wiener Oktett versions, although they really are stylistically quite different.fergus wrote:

Re: What are you listening to?
Much attention was given to the particular organ played... the 1714 Gottfried Silbermann in Frieberg Cathedral, which Bach himself used on occasion... do have any recordings on this instrument? the sound is relatively light in comparison..Diapason wrote:Didn't get that one, Jared, but it's interesting they got that response. There are an awful lot of people out there who can't warm to the organ at all, so you're certainly not alone. I don't know much about David Goode except for a few online bits and bobs, but I'd expect him to do a good job.

Poulenc –Keyboard Concertos....
I usually play this disc for the harpsichord concerto but the other two concertos are equally beguiling and interesting with a special mention for the organ concerto.

I only bought this set recently and I have already devoured 10 CDs worth of music....I find it compulsive listening.

I have a measly 1 CD from that set, previously issued as a single Fergus, and I loved it too...fergus wrote:

On my final traversal of the Diabellis...
enjoyable as it has been, time is close at hand for me to turn my attention to a bit more Dvorak Chamber...

Re: What are you listening to?
I was going to buy that one Dave but to be honest I held back when I heard his JSB Cello Suites so I would be interested in your honest opinion of his Dvorak.DaveF wrote:
