Borrowed this one from a mate over the weekend. It's alright I suppose, didnt blow me away but has a few good tunes. The two tracks with Hope Sandoval and Shane McGowan are the stand out ones for me.

Would you believe I actually picked a 35 year reunion gig from 2000 on DVD for the princely sum of a fiver in HMV last week. They do a version of a track that I think is on your album,Fergus; it's called FUBB, I think....Unfortunately I don't have the album to hand so I can't say for sure, but something 'clicked' when I saw the cover...

Having a quick listen to this and it's sounding exactly as I'd hoped! Thanks for the tip Dave (and Paul too).....I closed my eyes when the second track started playing (Chase the Blues Away) and I swear I thought he was in the room, the voice was HUGE!

Good stuff Dermot. Hope you enjoyed it. "Greetings from LA" is a bit different from any of his earlier stuff.

If I had have known it was this good - Blue Afternoon, I mean - I would have bought it a long time ago. I believe Lorca is on the same mystical level and I can't wait to get my hands on it.Trouble is I can't remember where I last saw it!! I'm sure it was Tower. You're right about Greetings though. It's not the side of Tim I'm too enamoured with but, what the hell, it's nice to have it anyway :)

I've only seen Lorca on LP once and that was in Spindizzy. Of course I picked it up immediately when I saw it. Not sure if you'll like it Dermot especially if you werent too gone on 'Greetings...'. Lorca is even weirder but the track Song for the Siren is well worth having. That said though, I read numerous stuff on the net of people who hated the likes of Lorca and Starsailor at first but were eventually won over.
