Ikea lack table as hifi rack

Post by Fran »

I have just picked up a nice new rack so my old oone is going a begging. It's a really simple one - a bunch of ikea lack coffee tables with their legs cut short. Stack them one on top of the other or side by side etc etc. They are almost black in colour and pretty much perfect condition, might be a small mark here or there but not really noticeable. They will fit standard width components no problem.

Free to take away... there's 5th in total.

Fran

btw you can see them on pg 2 of the rebuilding quads thread in general section.

Yes, they can (one of the jobs on my list!). The main reason for the change was that while the ikea tables were grand - because I'm in there all the time changing this and that, it was difficult to get at the back of the components. The new rack is smaller, but is much easier to get around the back of. Curiously there is no difference in the sound, maybe its because I'm changing stuff a lot, but no much difference at all.
