I remember that he treated me with the care and attention he would have treated somebody buying a complete Linn/Naim system. He asked what speakers and amp I was using and recommended a particular cable, no...

Re: RGB to HDMI

Thanks again Adrian, you've got me persuaded, now I need to work on her indoors. She operates on a different logic, though!

RGB to HDMI

I haven't been on the forum for the last while due to a variety of reasons, so I'm busy catching up on everything I've missed! However, I wonder if any of you can advise n this? I replaced my Samsung TV with an LG earlier this year, without checking the inputs on the TV. I'm using a Meridian DVD pla...

Millennials! Bah!

Ivan explained to me that they were all retuns, cantilevers damaged or broken by new buyers who didn't realise how fragile they are and dragged across albums or otherwi...

Re: George Murray RIP

I used to work in Dawson Street in the late seventies and spent many lunch times in Murrays. I used to love the way they sellotaped picture sleeves from new wave singles on the wall going up the stairs to the shop. Also the way one of the record bins was labelled "No Hopers" for groups Geo...

George Murray RIP

George Murray, of Murrays in Dun Laoghaire and Grafton Street has passed on. I'm sure that he was known to many here through the various shops he worked in.
