Re: Panasonic Full HD issues
That really is annoying, and very puzzling. Sorry I don't have a clue about this problem / defect, Fran seems to have stumbled on a phenonmon which I have never heard of before. Maybe you could try taking a ex demo model which has been running in the shop for several weeks, although beware of any bu...

Re: 110v to 220v converter
Hi Tony, I think what you want is a step down transformer, not a step up transformer. Domestic supply in Ireland is 230V or thereabouts, most US domestic products run at 110V. Hence you would require to step down from 230V to 110V or 115V. If you were to step up then you would be going from 230 to 4...

Hi Chaps, I don't know much about Horn Speakers, so with a few moments to spare I did some browsing on the www. I came across this site which I think really takes the biscuit!!! Not too sure if it is the persuit of pleasure or just somebody with lots of money seeing how far one can take things. Its ...

Re: Turntable
That's amazing Fran, because my collegue is convinced that his TT was made in Ireland. I expressed skeptism at first, so when we googled on the www the Michelle engineering came up as listed in the UK. Hence we concluded that the TT was made in UK. Looks like we were wrong and Keiths memory is corre...
Re: Turntable
Hi Chaps, I was chatting to a fellow (Keith) who is passing through the office at the moment. We got talking about Hi Fi. Anyway he mentioned he bought a turntable back in 1980, and he still has it to this day, turning out some great sounds. Believe it or not, but he was then able to find the compan...

Re: Mains conditioners
I admit I have no experience with Mains conditioners. But I have a few thoughts about them. If your electricity supply is already good quality then there might not be much point in obtaining one. If on the other hand you are aware of a quality problem then it could be a worthwhile investment for not...

Re: COPLAND 288 CD PLAYER
Hi SydneyK,
Just a few questions about the 288, how old is the unit and what price range did you have in mind?
You mention the laser mechanism was refurbished, how long ago was that? I don't know much about Copland players but is the 288 a sucessor to the 823?
Regards,
Adrian.
