Re: MQN

If you consider your feedback valuable then you need to compare your situation.

When someone gives you dessert to stuff yourself with, don't complain that it tastes bad, you end up looking like an insulate spoilt brat.

You are a product of what happens when the rod is spared.

Re: MQN

Just remember Gordon doesn't owe you anything, even if he never released another version ever again, what he has produced is good enough for me.

Re: MQN

I know of one person who kept his Oppo 105 and returned the Hugo, the battle between the ESS9018 vs everything else is fierce. If Germany wins this Monday I will use my winnings to upgrade, however I strongly feel that MQN is where the most difference is made, just using my Xonar Essence One in my M...

Re: MQN

Thank guys it makes sense if the dev is using a Ciunas then that is what I should be using as well. Second hand these go fairly cheap as long as I can use a digital volume control via the PC, i'll source one very soon. I love the Hugo but it's excessively priced, as are most Chord products, many are...

Re: MQN

wouldn't play at all if the device didn't think it was capable. Maybe the period size is too small for your device, currently 256 samples. You can check the lowest buffer you can play using playpcmwin. Gordon, my DAC won't support 256 period sizes only 512! What do you recommend as the best bang fo...

Re: MQN

If you run wasapi_test.exe (mqn-files/test directory on google drive) you can see which modes are supported, but I would expect 4.08 to fail then as well Looks to be OK will have to keep troubleshooting; E:\musicplayerold>wasapi_test --device "Speakers (ASUS Xonar Essence One)" EXCLUSIVE:...

Re: MQN

No joy using control 2.97, plays but with a static and a metallic post processing effect. Purchased Windows 8.1 Pro today was hoping a fresh rebuild would resolve, I'm running out of options but at least 4.08 works. Gordon could it be my Xonar Essence One only supports 24 bit in 32 bit containers? T...

Re: MQN

I'm still using the 2.97 control, but I don't understand what you meant about what memory configuration I have! If you meant the RAM settings, I never changed anything. Thanks, I mean by how many RAM modules are you running and what timings they are at? Do you have 4 banks populated or just 2? Do y...

Re: MQN

Did not do much listening lately, but 5.14 avx2 is out of this world!!! I did not try anything higher than 5.14, but I don't understand how I can play avx2 with Ivy Bridge?! Please list control version used and what memory configuration you have? I have no problems in getting it to play it's just t...

Re: MQN

Gordon, are you compiling these newer releases for AVX2 (Haswell) as opposed to AVX which my Ivy Bridge CPU only supports? I cannot get any AVX version to run past 4.08, despite me rebuilding a AIO x64 Windows 8.1 Pro with Administrator account enabled and used for playback. Thanks once again for yo...
