Re: MQN
I have heard a couple of users say that they can play the AVX2 versions with Ivy Bridge CPUs that only have the AVX Instruction Set (one completely obliviously!). Only SBGK would know what is being used in his code that requires AVX2 as opposed to AVX. If your Ivy Bridge CPU has AVX (mine doesn't) ...

Re: MQN
Hi Gordon,
what do you think, when will my dream come true, that all the poor "Nonhaswellusers" will be able to enjoy the outstanding combination 9.12/4.25 with Ivy/Sandy CPUs?
Kind regards - Fujak

Hi rickmcinnis,
no problem, don't worry about. Look, this thread has accumulated 650 pages in the meantime. Who could read them all in search of a certain information that probably might already exist? Kind regards - Fujak

Re: MQN
My cmd screen occurs after starting a file, and disappears after few seconds. I find this behaviour very useful.rickmcinnis wrote:When using the newer versions of play and control is there any change in the "screen"?
Does it look as it always has or is it abbreviated?

Re: MQN
Hi Fujak Thank you for putting some sound quality aspects to the term. But do you recognise this in current 3.72/8.91 MQn? Or is one man's harshness other man's detail and accuracy, and is it still subjective and a matter of preference? I also remember written that less jitter is heared as more det...

Re: MQN
Hi Aleg,
I think, meanwhile it's a kind of common sense using the term "digital sound" means a sound with digital artefacts (also called jittery), that tends to an edgy, sharp, harsh, artificial sound signature with less musical flow. Kind regards - Fujak

same to me; mqncontrol 3.68 doesn't work. 3.64 with MQn 8.91 works an sounds very detailed.Aleg wrote:mqncontrol 3.67 and 3.68 don't play on my setup
mqncontrol or 0 and 3.66 loose resolution compared to 3.64 and become a bit soggy in style.

Re: MQN
I have done the WinRAM thing since one week, and I can confirm, that the difference in SQ is not in the range of an AO or Win8 vs. Windows Server 2012. It is a jump into another league of SQ. More space, more clarity, more details, more controlled and deep bass performance, more musical flow. It is ...

No, the PC doesn't crash, but 64 packet size doesn't work. Which buffersize do you have at the Thesycon driver?Aleg wrote:Does your PC crash when running the 64 packet size?
