Yes, it is WS 2012 R2 (64bit), username is Administrator, and I am using the 4.23 avx version, but it work...

Hi Aleg, many thanks for your helpfull advice regarding the avx issue. It let me found another interesting / weird thing in my setup: I checked my "run as..." in mqncontrol.exe and I found it was unchecked all the time as you adviced. So I checked "running as administrator" and ....

Version 4.05 avx doesn't work on my system (see profile). cmd window opens, first song starts (blinking) as it would play, but no sound. Version 4.05 sse4 however sounds as good (= detailed and calm) as my favorite 3.57 avx. I wonder whether 4.05 avx would sound even better.

In my ears "mqncontrol.exe 3.61 512" is the best (=clean and neutral) sounding version.

My feedback regarding the latest versions: 3.75 sounds very detailed, well belanced and vivid. 3.83 sounds too bright without more details than 3.75 3.86 sounds more balanced than 3.83 but less detailed than 3.75 3.57avx sound most detailed and most balanced than any other version.
