Re: Panasonic Full HD issues

Where on the screen is it, and does it happen with all sources?

There's an issue with some Sky HD boxes (like mine!) where you get a thin band of black or blue pixels at the far right of the screen. I'm assuming what you're talking about is more serious?

Re: Recent Purchases

Have to say, I've yet to "get" Schumann's orchestral work, but I'm a big fan of his piano works. Kreisleriana is one of my favourite piano cycles full stop . I have yet to go there Simon....any particular pianist that you would recommend? I'm still searching for the perfect reading myself...

I adore Rachmaninov's Etudes-Tableaux, and while in many ways Idil Biret on Naxos is still my first choice for her sheer sense of melancholy, this recording brings something different to the table.

Thanks Fran, just ordered that Basie set as well. At around the price of a decent sandwich, it would be rude not to!

How do they compare to the Explorers? I heard those once on the end of a Krell KAV400xi and they were genuinely fantastic.

Done. Thank you.

There are a few other good things in that Original Album Classics series, I see...

Re: What are you listening to?

You're pretty quiet around here these days Simon. Not in music listening mode lately? Hopefully he is busy rehearsing for some recitals this autumn!! Quiet indeed. Partly due to not being in listening mode, partly due to my new job expecting me to actually *work* rather than sit surfing the web all...
