Re: Time to say...... Goodbye?
I have not not looked in here for many months and just saw the potential demise of what was at one time the the most exciitng audio forum of all and that was due to the tireless efforts of nigel2000. Not to slight the others but Nigel was DEDICATED! I hope Nigel is doing OK and would want him to kno...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
Jonathan,
Is it working for you?
Seems to have a conflict with my integrated CPOU Asrock board.
I saw the mention of it working with an i7 so I ordered a new CPU and an ASUS motherboard to see if that solves the problem.
Do you still have the Vauxhall?

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
m.massimo, I am using one of the variants of the same board you are using. I am also using those same parameters at the moment. I had though 512/3/5 was my favorite but that one has stayed around/ At the risk of being repetitive and from unchecked curiosity I am wondering if you have tried the follo...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
Well, you are MUCH closer to possessing expertise than I ever will! The track is DSD256 - I have a smaller track that plays very well - about half the size. I am using the MATRIX DAC and it seems to be able to handle anything DSD. 1. If you use wtfplay-dsd and your DAC supports native streaming with...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
Having found a site with free downloads of DSD files I have been surprised that DSD sounds better than it has in my past experiences with CD/DVD players. There is something about it I have had to admit. I think my DAC is known as one that works best with DSD so maybe that is what I am hearing. I hav...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
I see that I should have worded my request differently. I should have asked if you had found that frames and periods settings to change after using PRIORITY set to 5? Even though I think the answer will be no. One wishes one could know what it is within different systems that makes these settings un...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
frd, It is another step closer - though it is as subtle as you promised. Using the playlist function makes one wonder if there is a way to disable the HELP screen since it adds another keystroke when using playlist and for long time users is well beyond superfluous? Hoping this might be simple. Jona...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
Thanks for looking at my problem so carefully, I am not at the computer but I typed it in numerous times and looked at it carefully additional numerous times. I think this evening I will see if using a USB keyboard makes a difference. After reading of the other fellow problem I wonder if there is so...

Re: wtfplay project - it's official
Well, These are the messages i get when I think I have carefully typed in the instructions: cat: can't open '/root/.co '; no such file or directory cat: can't open 'f/wtfcui.plist' no such file or directory What throws me is that what it says is so different than the command I typed. Especially myst...
