Looks like at some point Audio-Gd released a new version of their module - the DA-8. Looks a lot nicer. Not clear what the difference is between the previous though:

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
Hey Nige, I opted for the BC550/560 mod on the vref opamps. Not going to try the Lifepos there, too skittish. But I am trying to decide if its worth removing the +/-5 regs. Currently running +/-9v from a two stage PS:TPS47whatsit reg-->Lt3045s-->Dam. I can modify it to supply the dual 5v to the reg ...

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
Never, mind found a way to connect to the Xilinx. If what I hear so far holds up then doing a flip flop followed bypassing/removing the isolators is the best mod I've done so far.

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
Hi guys, got an SOS here. I was in the process of removing the isolators based on Randy's photos when I accidentally pulled up two of the pads. Then I realized I don't actually know where the heck the pinouts are supposed to go!!! Anyone know where I else I connect to? Pic attached.

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
My previous grumpy post aside, the 1121 is now almost too cheap to pass up. Just a few dollars more than the 1021. I will probably get one since it seems like it may outperform the 1021 plus more power supply flexibility and less modding/removing components required.

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
Somewhat random post, but it suddenly occurred to me: has Soekris ever actually *thanked* anyone for helping to improve his dac? After all the effort people put in to convince him the first version needed improving, I don't think I've ever seen him express any thanks/gratitude/anything.

Re: Battery Power Supply
Not sure if this a good deal or not, but may be worth taking a look at for battery. Ships worldwide.

Re: Another interesting r2r dac
This silly cheap DAC has had a little work done. Replaced the main caps which does adds some refinement. Last night I added A LT3045 5v power supply. These super low noise supplies just get smaller and smaller! So small I just have it tacked to the bottom of The dac and powered by a cheap wallwart. ...
