After more detailed listening, I can say that my favorite version is 2.71 intel raw. The 1024's, specially the last ones are to filtered, to dry, no air with missing details and highs. No life! I hate to be a party-breaker, but this is just my opinion and that is how it sound in my system. Does any...

Interestingly enough I just replaced my AMD setup with Intel. Radeon Ramdisk does not sound as good with my Intel - it sounds more like Jkeny and you have said, rolled off, flat. On my AMD setup the Ramdisk sounded much better, the roll off was more like noise reduction and there was great intimacy...

Reduced buffersize to 4 and then to 2. Each step gave some more vibration in the sound. So now running a Timerresolution 2ms and Driver buffersize 2 ms. I installed the RAMDisk last night and first impression was woow..... less harshness and cleaner sound. When I copied MQn on the RAMDisk the effect doubled. BUT,........ after 2-3 songs my ears start to bleed! The sound looks cleaner, but it's more flat, no bass and no air, very fatique! Going back...

I'm listening to mqncontrol 4 core with 2.71 intel win 8.1-R2 raw background and and the sound with mqncontrol 4 core it's way better. I don't know why I can't play "mqncontrol 2 core 1024" with any of the player versions and also, I can't play the "1024" and "1024 raw back...
