Re: MQN
I believe a lot of the "magic" of MQN is got to do with it's timing - in other words I think that it is more accurate & sharp in it's signal deliver to the two stereo channels & as a result the sound is more precise & accurate. Hence better timbre to instrument sounds. That'd ...

Re: MQN
I do have MC19 too, and Naim DAC-V1/Nap100/Harbeth P3ESR's. To me the difference is obvious, and I'm not even thinking to go back and listen JRiver, but I do use GUI to locate music in it. Are you using Memory playback in JRiver MC 19 ? Yes I do, and I almost do not hear the difference comparing to...

Re: MQN
"I'm not yet convinced it's any better than JRiver MC19 when JRiver is fed the same files". I am surprised Peter with this statement, without any desire to argue too much on it, we all hear things different. I would like to know what DAC/Amplification/Speakers you have hooked up to your c...

Re: MQN
Glad i didn't rush out and get rid of my lan cable etc. As a 'basic' player if KS can bring more that would be enough for me. The gorgeous gui I find distracting. Straight forward copying and pasting with command prompt display is all that is required. A gui would be nice though. I find that it tak...

Re: MQN
My CPU is an Intel Core i5 2500T which is quad core SSE4 and running Windows 8.1 64 bit. My DAC is a dCS Debussy connected via on board USB. It doesn't have any drivers as it uses the Mirosoft USB driver. I have had this working with JPLAY5.1 and JRIVER Kernel streaming and JRIVER via WSAPI all fin...

Re: MQN
Just stated to try MQn, .... No sound, using a VLink-II. The dac (Matrix mini-I) shows 96Khz when I try to run MQn.bat. and silence. The .wav files are on the NAS, do they have to be local ? ? yes, but it's about the quality of the silence. try playing a 16/44.1 track, they don't need to be local a...

Looks like the MQn thread on the other channel has been culled.
