Re: Record player suggestions

I use a Thorens TD150 mk2. They are a simple but easily upgraded design too. Mine has an audio technica at1005mk2 tonearm fitted which adds much more detail and oomph.

Add a good phono stage, moving coil cartridge, sut and you wont look back.

Re: Interesting shops throughout Europe

On holidays recently and drove over to Marbella today to have a look around. I called into technogold - very nice equipment on display. Massive sansui 22000 and some other choice vintage stuff. Hard to see the size of those in these pics but they are absolutely huge. He has a small stock of records...

Re: B&O gear

Only time I have had experience with this brand was on holiday last year. The apartment was fitted out with one of the tv's that swivels remotely and with large speakers built into it. It also had separate speakers either side. The tv quality was great and when it was turned off or on ,the picture a...

Re: Best hifi gadget you own?

Is it a gadget or not?, who knows but I use a magic eraser for removing dirt/dust from the stylus. Reading Cybot post above, the dust buster could be an alternative I may try.
I also use a disco anti-stat record cleaner. Great results from this, using the supplied liquid.

Re: Streaming - how many are doing it?

I have amazon music. Use it in car via the phone app. And in house when no time to stick the vinyl on. Use the analogue output out of one of the amazon speakers. I'm sure I can improve on that. Used to use google music via chromecast audio before it changed to youtube music. Still have all my cds up...
