What a great result.

I think the Wiim makers, and others like them are putting real pressure on many of the established manufacturers. Here's the other that that I was thinking - at 400 quid, its all of a sudden affordable enough to a student who was working a summer job which is good in my books.

Nope - in fairness I use borrowbox almost exclusively for audio books in the car. I'd be interested to know though - I have used it on an iPad and worked well for reading on a plane etc. A proper e-reader would be much neater though.

I think you're right. I just checked there now.

I can see what hifi, australian hifi, rolling stone, mojo, bbc music etc but not those.....

Better than that - you can get it for free through your library app (borrowbox etc)

We made it there and back safely anyway! All the "usual" craziness was on display - with notably great sound from acapella horns, western electric cinema horns, Kondo amps (with B&W 801) among others. The Kondo in particular were great (with prices that look like a telephone number). N...

Although I read that this was done before, its the first time that I've seen it.... the arm stays still and the platter moves. Maybe we'll see it in action at the Hi-end show in Munich.

The general impression I always got from reading around was that these could work very well for source components (ie not much current draw) and where sources were powered from SMPS supplies, they could prevent any noise getting back out from that source. No-one that I know of unfortunately. I've kept an eye out for one for years, but never saw one at reasonable money.

You can buy kits etc, but I don't know how useful they really are.

I'm fairly certain a friend bought something off this seller - if I am correct then I have visited him, and yes he had a lot of stuff, and was sound to deal with.
