I'm with you on this James. I would suspect that figuring out how to improve a lossy jpeg file for a photo file is not that much different than an mp3 for music.... to a computer/engineer.

But its probably only relevant in very niche situations.

I would put at about 800-900e parts in there if you were building eg 10 of them, including the chassis. Of course there are setup costs as well, we have to understand that.
