Not all my own work - but I do think the Lenco is a great base to work on. I do also think that it needs some work to get it to perform at a high level. The first of those things is the arm I reckon. Plinth is probably second.....

I built this one a good few years back. I've all the parts for a PTP version bit haven't got to it yet....

Just had a peek at that Mycetias audio website - prices seem very reasonable indeed

I would say Croft are a good example of this - looks very plain on the outside, but generally really good sound.

I changed mine there earlier this week, I got the new cert this morning. It was quick, simple and painless to do. The old one stays in place until the new one comes along so you aren't "without" a cert ie nothing to lose. I haven't heard of anyone being stopped for not having their middle ...

This was very useful James - I changed mine today, as it didn't have the middle name as the passport does. When I went through the online form it said I should get the new cert within 5 days.

They are very beautiful, I have seen them in the flesh in Munich, but haven't heard them. However, they are also expensive!

The idea is not new, the old Garrard 100 players had the same mechanism, but with poorer bearings and construction.

That's a beautiful system right there - well you may wear!
