Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
I kinda’ remember someone mentioning that a outside remote could on occasion interfere with the reader. Maybe a neighbour or somebody in the house using a car or a stereo or alarm remote. Not every time but enough to make you wonder just what’s wrong with the SD card reader. Or was that the other w...

Re: NOT QUITE NEVER AGAIN, THE GROUP BUY DAC BUILD
Maybe it's gonna sound like a heresy that might get me thrown under the bus, recently someone in Japan figured out how to implement both McDualXO as well as McFIFO from IanCanada inside his Jitter Free Sound Model DAC-7 and ALL effects of upstream components before the DAC could be nullified accord...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
You have me stumped on the red light, you would think with all the tinkering we did i would have an answer but i cannot think of what that would be. I expect someone might come along and remind me! Do you definitely have 5v in? Maybe try adding a ground on the the furthest left pin! @tims When I st...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
Hi all TirNaOg put me on to this sd player thread and I would love to get one to try out. Only problem is is that my DAC doesn't have an I2S input (namely USB, S/PDIF and optical) so I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how I could use this player to mate with my DAC? I can't find much in ...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
I have missed out on recent posts here but will catch up in the coming days. I got the Player recently and have only had the chance to listen over SPDIF so far and it performs very well off the remote. I thought i had an DVI to I2S out module but could not find it so ordered another one off Audioho...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
I have 2 folders on the card here, set to the very exact same output parameters as all others, but for some reason the card skips tracks. It will play track 1, then maybe 4, then 5, then 7. Go back and manually select 2, 3,6 and they play 100% no problem. Only happens on these 2 folders. The white ...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
No,I don't think so. There are a few glitches that I've seen happen. Another example is a burst of white noise that is related to the metadata stored in the file - strip that out and it disappears. I wonder if renaming the folder or files would make a difference? Thanks Fran. I’ll try that. I did p...
