Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
Do you also have my problem with the LED (bottom left of screen) always showing red when playing a track? I also intended to order a new one but like yourself am wary about purchasing another after learning this may(?) be a common fault with the player. Do you still have this problem? always a red ...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
Hi NUMLOG Tried your fix on my player and can confirm no crashes after several hours - great fault finding! 👍👍 Cheers Nice to hear this is a consistent fix, btw did you get a remote included with yours? either I didnt get one or it was thrown with the box by accident. No, I didn't get a remote with...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
OK, finally got to the bottom of the white screen problem after months. It was caused by the IR receiver... I noticed a couple of times the white screen happened after coming close to the player or putting my hand over to change tracks, tbh I think this was pure coincidence since the screen happens...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
I have had the exact same problem since getting mine... ''crashes'' to a white screen, reboots after a 20-30 seconds or manually with the button, often it will give ''SD card error!!'' message after pressing reset button and needs to be pressed a few more times to actually get it to reset, I have u...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
Thanks for your replies. Made some progress by adding the ground wire on the I2S as suggested and it started working! I changed my I2S to s/pdif converter to iancanada's fifo and s/pdif interface boards and it's sounding good but there's still a problem; the player intermittantly shuts down during a...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
Received my sd player a few days ago and hooked it up to convert to spdif output (using an old perpetuel technology P-1A unit) but have problems. The player fires up alright and shows the selected track playing but the P-1A is showing inactive/unlocked on it's I2S input - I've double checked the I2S...

Re: Computer Audio Blasphemy, nige tries Another SD Card Player
Would these Intel 64GB 2.5" drives (some listings below) be a cheap SLC option to use with this project? They now sell typically in the $30 to $50 range. Also available in 32GB. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-SSD-SSDSA2SH064G1GC-2-5-64GB-SATA-II-3Gb-s-/222943318604?hash=item33e875124c https://w...

Re: DIY Regen Battery tweak
Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I'm having a dense moment and not sure what you mean. This 5V injection still bypasses the Regen's on board TPS7A4700 regulator? i.e. connecting the 5V USB input with the 5V output ie connect the USB connector pins together across the Regen board as described before. Is...

Re: DIY Regen Battery tweak
Hi John May I ask: did you find in the end that it is actually possible to use the external PS togeher with the LiFePO4 battery mod by modifying the pcb board? Thanks again Tim Didn't get a chance to test this today, took some photos with my phone but all are blurred - I'll take some decent pics tom...
