What about the JMR Cantabile Jubilee? I had the Supreme's and found them lacking in all around foundation plus a brightly lit treble didn't help matters. Reading a review of the Jubilee's tells me they've improved in all the necessary areas. I like the PMC range even though you can't really 'see' where the money has gone. Haven't never heard them maybe that aspect doesn't really matter......They say though that transmission line bass is the best way to do it if done properly.

Another range is obviously the German Quadral range which are garnering rave reviews all over. You probably already know that Noel C is now selling them.....

At the moment, I'm still not sure I wanna sell the Abscisse as they have plenty plenty of positive points. But if I do, I think I'll change for a different brand with different "tone"

Totally agree on the fact that I don't know how they can justify such price with which seems to be such basic speakers. However for their size and design, I don't know how they succeed this result, but they sound really good and punchy.

Nice speakers although never heard them but won't fit my room, I need front port speakers

The speaker’s main attributes that I hear are speed and openness: everything is immediate and spread out before us in an open space. The top mounted tweeter clearly has a lot to do with this. Speed, openness… and grace!
... They do not quite rock out: they can do rock fine, but they won’t slam you in the solar plexus with enriched upper bass punch...
Indeed what I really love with the Abscisse, and probably thanks to the ribbon tweeters, is their speed, openness and image.

What are you hoping to achieve with changing to an alternative 'tone'? More warmth?

Deeper bass but I wanna make sure I'm not losing in details as this is why I choses the Abscisse

Sounds to me you're reluctant to sell the Abscisse's for the reasons you've already outlined. I'd be very, very careful if I were you. Upsetting the hard won balance of a system is one golden rule you don't break. Obviously the 35Hz bass is not enough for you. Mine go down to 30 and it's plenty. But......it's a quarter wave bass design which I've found from countless listening sessions to other speakers is a big plus. Even ones that go down to 20Hz can't compete! So maybe all you need is a careful audition of other speakers - read transmission types - or even a subwoofer, if you can handle the endless tuning regime. Good luck.....

Having said all that I'd say the PMC brand might just be the perfect balancing act.

So I finally could have a listen to the PMC Twenty 5.24 and compared them to the Abscisse.
Let's say that it totally changed my mind on selling the Abscisse for the moment.. :(

The PMC have definitely more bass but I found the bass to be overtaking the details and clarity of sound.
Plus in terms of details and image the Abscisse are definitely in another league.
So, until I find speakers that are really better than the Abscisse, I'll keep them [emoji14]
I also recently removed the granite under them which had a real positive impact on bass and image.
