AdditionalCriticalWorkerThreads (from 0 to 16)
AdditionalDelayedWorkerThreads (from 0 to 16)

after a while i realize, the best SQ is 0+0. haha
second preference is 16+16. changing additional threads you always will lose something. i might as well go for the maximum. at least soundstage is forced to maximized.

16+16 is only recommended for i7 or better. i don't have i5. not good for i3 or atom or dual-core.

notice critical must equal delay. otherwise i can hear strange issues.

inspired by the natural SQ of pkshan's new version of win7.

pkshan's win7 is love and hate.
before graphic driver installed, the SQ is heaven. light, transparent, fast, natural.
after graphic driver installed. fat, heavy, little compressed, soundstage more 3D in a bad way.
my mobo hates win7?!
i reported this to pkshan. he said he has 7950 graphic card... wtf... using the most powerful card in the market to improve SQ?!! no wonder my cheap graphic card cannot handle AERO....

i spent a few days re-tuning my 2012. the sound is now more natural. at least i got rid of most 3D effects as in 3D soundstage having borders.

natural 3D soundstage has no boarder. cancel any tweak if it creates boarder!

---TWEAK 37----
THIS TWEAK IS CANCELLED

go to c:\windows\system.ini

BEFORE:
; for 16-bit app support
[386Enh]
woafont=dosapp.fon
EGA80WOA.FON=EGA80WOA.FON
EGA40WOA.FON=EGA40WOA.FON
CGA80WOA.FON=CGA80WOA.FON
CGA40WOA.FON=CGA40WOA.FON

[drivers]
wave=mmdrv.dll
timer=timer.drv

[mci]

AFTER:
; for 16-bit app support
[386Enh]
;woafont=dosapp.fon
;EGA80WOA.FON=EGA80WOA.FON
;EGA40WOA.FON=EGA40WOA.FON
;CGA80WOA.FON=CGA80WOA.FON
;CGA40WOA.FON=CGA40WOA.FON
KybdReboot=FALSE

[drivers]
;wave=mmdrv.dll
timer=timer.drv

[mci]

comments:
1. best KeyBoostTime is default 0.001. halved it-> intense. doubled it ->slow. anything not a multiple of 0.0005 is unnatural.
2. as you can see "for 16-bit app support". in 64bit win7/8/2012 this is meaningless, no idea why it affects SQ.
3. don't delete
timer=timer.drv

Tried you NTFS tweaks

only:
"NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate"=dword:00000001
is done right ,sound more relax,stable, that means the micro details have better focus.

Others are bad tweaks,sound is worse.

I would like to try lekt player & MQN,
but I can't get sound out of my echo audiofire4 when using these players.
I hope they will made a waveOut version or something.

lekt player (much) better at the moment. need onboard DAC or PCIe soundcard.

think lekt plays drum. drums + bass has most correct sound.
